Program Description

Event Details

Come on out to Pritchard Park and take a walking plant tour with local herbalist, LeAnna Cargman. We’ll discuss in-season beneficial freeloaders a.k.a. weeds, focusing on:

  • Plant identification
  • Safe & ethical foraging practices
  • History & lore
  • How to transform our discoveries into food, craft, or medicine.

Weed walks are always different depending on the time of year, so there’s always something new to smell, taste, discover, & learn!
Foraging walks are designed for 12+ but all are welcome.

Nomadic Roots Herbal’s mission is to deepen our understanding of the natural world through a unique blend of science, discovery, and tapping into the wonder of our intuitive knowledge. Gatherings are built on a foundation of botany, Materia medica, herbal history, & folklore to paint a detailed picture of plants as part of our community rather than a commodity. Learn more at nomadicrootsherbals.com
