Program Description

Event Details

If you love walking and you love bird watching you won’t want to miss this guided bird walk through Pritchard Park to kick-off the 2023-2024 FeederWatch season. Please join Chapel Hill Public Library and New Hope Audubon Society on Saturday, November 4, at 9 am near the animal statues on the terrace to discover which birds live in Pritchard Park. We’ll have some binoculars to loan but please BYOB if you have them. Dress for the weather as we will be out for an hour or more. This program is appropriate for children 12 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

FeederWatch is a November – April survey of birds that visit feeders, backyards, nature centers, and parks all across the US and Canada and a proven tool for monitoring the distribution and abundance of winter bird populations.
