Program Description
Event Details
- Have you been asked to record your story for an oral history, a print interview, or other media project?
- Are you interested in or planning a public history project?
- Does your organization own or use oral histories?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, this workshop is for you.
Let’s talk…
- Money: Who writes the budget? Who provides the funding? Who gets paid?
- Consent: Who writes the agreement? Can we change our minds? If yes, when?
- Ownership: Who owns these stories? Who can use them? Who profits from this work?
Together, we will co-create a local practice, rooted in equity, for how we document and share the stories of our communities.
