Program Description

Event Details

Writing doesn't have to be lonely! Join with fellow WriMos (what we call participants) to keep each other company while we write like the wind. We'll have time to chat, activities to get us writing when we're stuck, and quiet writing time. Plus, we'll have some fun prizes to help encourage you to get those words out.

National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo is a creative writing challenge that began in 1999 and happens annually in November.  NaNoWriMo challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days. Many novels have been published as a result of NaNoWriMo participation including Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, and Rainbow Rowell's Fangirl to name a few.  To learn more about NaNoWriMo visit their website here: https://nanowrimo.org/about-nano and consider joining us for our series of Write-ins at the library throughout the month of November.
