Queer Comics Club

Do you love Heartstopper? Are there other LGBTQIA+ graphic novels you love, and want to discuss? Join CHPL librarians in a monthly graphic novel book club for teens that centers queer stories and voices. Each month we'll have a group of graphic novels to choose from. Read one (or more) and join us for an evening of chatting, fun, and snacks!

Banned Art Craft Night

Craft Night

Create with company! Bring in a project you're working on — whether it's knitting, crocheting, drawing, painting, scrapbooking, or any other creative endeavor. Want to try something different? Each month, library staff will lead a guided project. Basic supplies provided, BYO for specific projects. Sip tea, groove to music, and meet fellow crafters. 

Event Details:

Fight censorship and book bans through the power of art and poetry. Make banned art using black-out poetry and collage on postcards. Use book pages, policy documents, and banned book trading cards.

  • Bring your own game and teach the group, or play one of ours!
  • No previous board game experience needed
